LGBT Justice at UUCC

Open for Service Sticker
The Unitarian Universalist Church of Hendricks County is a congregation that always has, and always will, not only respect the inherent dignity and worth of EVERY person, but consciously work to promote social justice within our community, both locally and globally. Regarding RFRA in the state of Indiana, our church is opposed to any legislation that contradicts our core belief that each person shall be treated with respect. Specifically, RFRA hurts our LGBT brothers and sisters by allowing blatant discrimination on the basis of religious freedom. Being a large presence regarding LGBT rights in Hendricks County has been a central focus for our Social Justice Committee, and will continue to be as we work together towards true equality. We are a house of love for all, and we walk many different paths to come together as one. Collectively, we unite and stand to say that we do not condone discrimination, legal or otherwise, within our church or our community. We will continue to be a place that is open and loving to all, our doors are open to serve everyone.
